Since its establishment 51 years ago, Gandhi has grown from a single outlet to 44 physical bookstores, 250 in-store kiosks among Walmart stores and runs a successful eCommerce website. In an already waning industry, the challenges of managing inventory while
ensuring a seamless customer experience is nothing short of a priority for Gandhi.
They understood that the current processes needed to be much more efficient, however there were a few challenges that had to be resolved. The limited visibility into inventory, supply chain, and demand forecast, the over 75,000 SKUs that needed to be managed, multiple points of sale, and numerous SKUs were challenging to manage.
To optimize inventory, Librerías Gandhi implemented Onebeat’s Adaptive Inventory management solution. It also implemented a Dynamic Buffer. Management system to manage stock reserves based on customer demand.
Once the implementation was finalized, and in practice, Librerías Gandhi felt the effects immediately. Operations across 44 stores and their online book store became effective and required less effort to manage.
