Principal Developer / Tech Lead

Onebeat is seeking a highly skilled Principal Developer / Tech Lead with strong architectural and development expertise. As a senior technical leader, you will design complex systems and guide the development of scalable and maintainable solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of architecture and the ability to mentor team members on advanced technical solutions. You will work on complicated features and take charge of technical decisions while ensuring best practices across teams.

Job Description

• Lead the design and architecture of scalable, high-performance back-end systems.
• Work closely with developers to implement sophisticated features and solve complex technical challenges.
• Provide technical leadership across the engineering team, setting standards for development practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including Product and QA teams, to deliver robust software solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, ensuring adherence to architectural guidelines and best coding practices.
• Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in back-end technologies, providing deep technical insights.

Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience as a Senior Developer, Principal Developer, or Tech Lead.
• Expertise in Ruby, Python, SQL, Linux, and AWS.
• Proficiency in designing systems that integrate with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins.
• Deep understanding of APIs, microservices, and complex database structures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead teams through technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, especially in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

– Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud orchestration tools.
– Experience with performance testing and security testing automation.
– Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role in an Agile environment.
